Red Bull and Ryan Doyle Parkour at University of Michigan
It was just another beautiful sunny day in Ann Arbor in August 2011. A typical day for students; some walking to and from class and others reading in the heart of campus at the University Diag. Such is typical among the “Leaders and Best”…that is until it was creativity interrupted by a group a fifty street runners lead by Red Bull parkour professionals Ryan Doyle, Daniel Arroyo, Max Henry and Micah Scarbrough.
The afternoon was spent climbing unclimbable walls, jumping from platform to platform and, for all intensive purposes, making the streets of Ann Arbor an urban playground. All of this was displayed with individual mixtures of martial arts, spacial awareness and athletic catapulting. Ryan Doyle and other Red Bull Parkour free runners have been instrumental in providing a creative and viable platform for the brand new sport of parkour.
